Sherman more than 35 years ago, and now run as a part of Pillar Technologies, following its acquisition by ITW (Illinois Tool Works) in 2001. From our inception the company's progressive, innovative spirit has positioned us to be the leading supplier of surface enhancement equipment to 6 of the 7 continents.
The company's ability to navigate the seas of change has led to the introduction of new technologies to our core corona business. Because of this, today we offer the single most comprehensive range of adhesion promotion equipment available anywhere in the world.

Sherman Treaters has a very diversified customer group. Likewise the markets that we serve are equally far reaching. Our worldwide headquarters is based in Weil am Rhein in Germany, whilst the market in North America is serviced by Pillar Technologies, also a division of ITW Surface Treatment.

Technology and Product Focus

Sherman Treaters offers a full range of corona equipment for applications ranging from the narrow web market to cast/blown film, coating and converting on to the ultra wide web BOPET, BOPP, BOPS. In recent years demand for our full product range has been particularly strong in the extrusion coating/lamination market sector. This has been directly attributed to our ability to offer corona as well as ozonisation and ozone destruct products. To date no other treater company better defines the concept of "one stop shopping" than Sherman Treaters.
